West Bank Day Tour The first stop on this tour is the Valley of the Kings, where many kings are buried. Admire the magnificent architecture of the burial tombs, including those of King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramses VI, King Mrenptah and AmonhotepII. Next is the Valley of the Queens, located on the west bank of the River Nile and southwest of the Valley of the Kings. It is also known as Biban al Harim and Ta Set Neferu, which means "seat of beauty." It was built to house the tombs of the queens, princes and princesses of the XVIII, XVIV, and XX dynasties. Visit the temple dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty(1490–1469 B.C) and is the only Pharaonic woman who reigned ancient Egypt.  

Luxor has often been called the world's greatest open air museum; the number and preservation of the monuments in the Luxor and the surrounding area are unparalleled anywhere else in the world that we know of. Luxor consists of three different areas, the City of Luxor on the East side of the Nile, the town of Karnak just north of Luxor and Thebes, which the ancient Egyptians called Waset, which is on the west side of the Nile across from Luxor.
